Mixed Vegetables by Ayumi Komura

Hanayu loves sushi.  It's her dream to become a sushi chef.  Problem is, her family runs a pastry shop, and they expect her to take over the shop after she graduates. Her solution?  Make Hayato, a boy at her school, fall in love with her and then marry him, so she can work in his family`s sushi shop.  Except that the last thing Hayato  wants to do is take over his family`s sushi shop.  His dream is to become a pastry chef.  He`s hoping to marry Hanayu so he can join her at the pastry shop, and not have to take over the sushi shop when he graduates.  Can Hanayu and Hayato find a way to realize their dreams without disappointing their families, and what will they do when they realise they have feeling for each other?

Clocking in at only eight volumes, Mixed Vegetables is one of the shorter shojo series out there.  Suggest this one to teen girls looking for light, contemporary romance or school stories.
