Kamisama Kiss by Julietta Suzuki

Poor Nanami!  Her father's run off to escape his debts, debt collectors have just kicked Nanami out of her apartment, and she's got no place to go.  Lucky for her, a man she rescues from a dog is so grateful he gives her his house.  Unluckily for her, his house is a dilapidated old shrine, and she's just been made it's deity.  To make matters worse, the fox spirit who's supposed to be helping her is rude and infuriating, and there are plenty of supernatural creatures who either view Nanami as a tasty dish or want the power she now possesses.

There's plenty of girl appeal with this title.  It has a nice mix of humour, romantic tension (between Nanami and the fox spirit), and danger, though the emphasis is on the humour and romance.  Suggest it to teens who like the romance and humour in Inu-Yasha, but aren't as interested in the fight scenes.  The publisher rates this series as T for Teen.
