Prize Idea: Key Caps

I love key caps.  They are just so darn cute and twisted.  It is a rare teen who doesn't love cute or twisted.  I gave away a couple of anime key caps as prizes once; there were pouts on the faces of the teens who did not get one.

Key caps come in all sorts of shapes, everything from cupcakes to zombies.  Anime key caps cost 3 times as much as other key caps, or I would buy buckets of them for prizes for my anime club.

Luckily for those of us with unimpressive budgets, there packs of other shapes available for $6-$8.  I plan on picking up a couple sets to use as small prizes throughout the year.

And for myself.  I really want the vampire cupcake!

Prize Idea: Fold Your Own Unicorn Calendar

The Fold Your Own Unicorn calendar is quite possibly one of the most awesome things ever.  It is cute and twisted.  Ninja unicorn!  Goth unicorn!  There was much excitement when January came around and I got to assemble my first unicorn.

What is a Fold Your Own Unicorn calendar?  It is a calendar with pieces you can punch out and glue into a unicorn.

A teacher librarian I know bought a whole bunch of these on sale to use as prizes at her library.  She also decorated the Christmas tree in her high school library with a bunch of the unicorns.   I was dying to get my hands on some for my library, but alas, I missed the sale.  You can be sure I will looking for a 2014 version this fall to use as prizes at my library.
