I am busy working on my own Best of 2012 list, but in the meantime, Publishers Weekly has put out their Best Books of 2012. In an effort to make their list more impressive than everyone else's, Publishers Weekly has divided it up by age and genre. They also very helpfully include links to their past Best Of lists going back to 2009, as well as their Summer Reads 2012 list.
The Children's Fiction list has plenty of great YA novels on it. Sadly, I have not read anything on the list, but I did pick up copies of Drama by Raina Telgemeier and In a Glass Grimmly by Adam Gidwitz at NYC Comic Con this year. There was great rejoicing* when I got those books, but they've since been buried in the avalanche of books I like to call my To Read pile. I shall have to dig them out and read them soon.
