Kiss of the Rose Princess by Aya Shouoto

Anise was given a choker by her father and told never to take it off or she would be punished horribly. But when a small, bat-like creature knocks her over, the choker comes off. Now she is the Rose Princess, and holder of four cards with which she can summon her four Rose Knights. The Rose Knights happen to be the four hottest guys in her school, and when she commands them, they are compelled to obey her every word. Together it's their duty to keep a magical seal from being opened and releasing the demon lord trapped by it.

The concept of the Rose Princess and her knights could easily tip over into S&M, but the author has chosen to make a joke of that instead. One of the knights adores being bossed around and yelled at, which gives Anise the creeps.

A fluffy, fantasy romance, the characters in Kiss of the Rose Princess stick to established tropes, much like in Ouran High School Host Club. Unlike Ouran High, this is not a loving send-up of the genre. Which doesn't mean it's not fun, just that it's not treading any new ground. Suggest to teens looking for another light shojo romance with pretty boys.

There are only nine volumes in the series. It's rated for teens.
